Much Ado About Nothing - compared to the description on the backside of the book. The last hundred pages had some friction and suprising revelations, but the rest was like it sounded at first sight: A police officer from the capital is send to a small island and has to spend five months there, trying to 'kill' the time and looking for a case to solve. Finally there is a case - but in between the over fivehundred pages it (and the reader) gets lost. One star of the three is for the research which was well done, but I honestly don't understand the exitement of the reviewers from the newspapers quoted on the cover ...Auf Deutsch: Kein Wunder dass ich so lange dafür gebraucht habe, das Buch hatte wirklich seine Längen. Ein Polizist aus der Großstadt kommt auf das platte Land zum 'Austausch', was soll da auch groß passieren? Kein wirklich spannendes Thema, noch weniger reizend umgesetzt. Einzig und allein die Recherchen für die Hintergrundgeschichte waren gut erledigt - zumindest so dass alles glaubwürdig erschien, dafür gab es einen Extrapunkt.
